Photo Cropping and The Rule of Thirds

I had taken this photo of my cat after school at home. In the original photograph the cat is closer to the center and the car takes up more of the photo then necessary; this took away from the greenery in the background. Since the car is more boring then the plants, I cut down the car and made it only 1/3 of the picture. I wanted the eye to travel and focus on my cat so I centered him on a line as well. A few of the things that my eye was attracted to in the original photo, was the picture that was in my car and the leaf on the roof. Now my eye is more focused on the cat and less unnecessary items.
